September 8, 2014 (Springdale, Ark.) – The Parable Project Song Search, Phase One of a multi-media venture aimed at creating a fresh resource for the church from A Thousand Hills Music, is set to launch September 8. The contest, which runs through midnight E.T. October 31, seeks original praise and worship music centered on themes from any of the 46 Parables found in the Bible.

“We are excited as the different elements of The Parable Project begin coming together,” says Chip Connor, Ragamuffin, Song Receiver, CEO & Founder of A Thousand Hills Music. “Our goal is to utilize multiple formats, including a book, a praise and worship album, video and curriculum Series, to capture the essence of the Parables. As we search for original music to include on the album, our prayer is that these songs will become lasting praise and worship staples within the church for decades to come!”

Songs should be in line with current praise and worship music, in the example of Jesus Culture, Bethel, Hillsong, New Life Worship, Phil Wickham, Eddie Kirkland, Chris McClarney and others. Songs that are submitted may not have been included on any project previously. Each winning submission will be awarded a single song publishing contract through A Thousand Hills Music for the song to be used on The Parable Project.

The final album is expected to include 12-14 songs. Neil Degraide and Tyler Anderson, from White Chapel Studios in Louisville, Ky., have been tapped to produce the project. Degraide and Anderson are the Producers for Sovereign Grace Ministries New Christmas Album set to release on September 29 and are in studio leading the production of Southeast Christian Church’s current worship album.
